What makes me tick?

I enjoy helping my clients to find practical solutions to their legal issues. I love solving problems and being proactive. There is nothing better than getting the right outcome for a client and seeing them through a case from the start to a successful finish. I act for both individuals and companies in a variety of disputes and pride myself on being responsive and approachable- when I work for a client I want to get to know them and be more than just a person at the end of an email. I am very proud to be from Hull and enjoy contributing to the local business community. I also like to win, which is a useful trait to have as a litigator!

My experience

I trained in the Sheffield office of a multi-national firm but I was always keen to return to the local area so I moved to another local firm on qualification in 2006 and worked in their Commercial Dispute Resolution department for 12 years. I joined Alder Legal in August 2018.

Outside of work.

I love anything to do with food and enjoy eating out, cooking and baking, particularly catching up with friends over a nice afternoon tea. As a result I also have to enjoy exercise, so I run when I can (which is less so since having a toddler!) and also do Yoga. I am a keen Rugby League fan (I won’t say which team!) and enjoy going to matches and watching the sport on TV. It’s very cheesy but I also love a good musical or ballet, so I go to the theatre as often as possible. I spent part of my degree living in France, so I keep up my French and still enjoy travelling in Europe and further afield.
